CHITRADURGA: Three people, including a woman, died while one person was injured after the Toyota Innova MUV in which they were travelling crashed into a lorry near the Kanive Anjaneya temple in Holalkere town in the wee hours on Monday.
The Andhra Pradesh-registered vehicle was on its way from Venkateshpalya in Guntur district to Shivamogga. The deceased are Sunita (34), Shyam (17) and Shivu (55). The driver, who was seriously injurd, was shifted to the taluk hospital in Holalkere.
It is said that speeding and reckless driving led to the accident. The car was completely crushed due to the impact. The Holalkere police visited the spot and have registered a case.
