VIJAYAPURA: Three people died on the spot after the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree, near Kannala Cross on National Highway-50 on Friday. The accident occurred as the driver lost control of the SUV.
The deceased were identified as Abhishek Sawant, Vijaykumar Aurangabad and Raju Biradar. They had gone to Solapur in Maharashtra on Thursday and were returning when the accident occurred.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the district hospital for post-mortem examination. The injured were admitted to hospital. The Vijayapura Rural police, who visited the spot. have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
