CHIKKABALLAPUR: Three people died while at least six others were injured after a car coming from Chikkaballapur jumped the road divider and collided with an oncoming KSRTC bus which was heading towards Bengaluru, near Lalgondanahalli Gate at Rani Cross on the outskirts of Devanahalli on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Suman (25), Sagar (26) and Mohan (33), who were travelling in the car while Vimala, Ajay Kumar and Veena sustained injuries. Three bus passengers were also injured and all were admitted to the government hospital in Devanahalli.
The car was completely crushed while the KSRTC bus also suffered significant damage. The Devanahalli traffic police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Additional Police Commissioner Karthik Reddy visited the accident site to take stock of the situation.
