Three dead in separate accidents

The car hit the retaining wall, resulting in two deaths.

TUMAKURU, KOLAR: Two people died after their car hit the retaining wall of the road near Kora bridge in Tumakuru taluk early on Friday. The deceased were said to hailing from Davanagere and were travelling towards Bengaluru.

The identities of the deceased were not known immediately and the Kora police visited the spot and registered a case. The police were making efforts to establish the identities of the dead.

Elsewhere, a two-wheeler rider died after he was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle near Hakki Pikki Cross in Srinivaspura on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Gunashekar (28) of Cheekalabailu village in Andhra Pradesh.

The impact of the collision was such that the head was severed from the torso. The accident occurred when Gunashekar was travelling from Rayalpadu to Andhra Pradesh. The Rayalpadu police have registered a case.
