Three dead in separate accidents near Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Two dead on the spot after a bus rammed into a two-wheeler near Hosur on Saturday morning. The deceased have been identified as Ganesh and Kumar.

The incident sparked outrage among locals, who pelted stones at five buses belonging to Tata Electrical Company. The bus which was involved in the accident was carrying employees to the company.

A case has been registered at Madagondanahalli police station. Police are investigating the cause of the accident and will take necessary action against those responsible.

In another accident, a man died after an onion-laden pickup truck overturned on the Pune-Bengaluru highway near Anchepalya  in Nelamangala taluk after it was hit by a container truck.

The deceased has been identified as Gangadharappa (55), the driver of the pickup truck. He died enroute to the hospital. The container truck driver Obanna also suffered serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital.

The police later cleared the pickup truck and container from road to make way for traffic movement.
