BENGALURU: Three members of an armed robbery gang, who threatened a jeweller with a gun and stole gold jewellery and cash from his store, have been arrested by KR Market police from Belagavi.
The police have recovered 20 grams of gold mangalsutra, 6 gm of earrings, Rs 12,000 in cash, and a country-made pistol used in the crime.
The incident occurred on around 4 pm January 24 on Avenue Road where a gang of five robbed Nagaraj when he and his mother were at the jewellery store. The robbers, who spoke Hindi, threatened Nagaraj and his mother, tied up their hands and legs, threatened them at gunpoint, and assaulted them.
The police arrested the suspects within three days of the incident. The arrested individuals have been identified, and further investigation is under way. The police have also seized CCTV footage of the robbery.
