Three arrested for moral policing in Moodabidre

MANGALURU: The Moodabidre police have arrested three people for alleged moral policing and assaulting a youth from another community.

On August 22, a Hindu girl student was waiting for a bus bound for Bengaluru near the fort entrance when the Muslim youth approached her and spoke to her. The girl later got into a bus and headed for Bengaluru.

The trio arrested for moral policing.

However, the trio followed the Muslim youth and attacked him near the Rajiv Gandhi sport complex, it is alleged. The arrested trio has been identified as Abhilash, Prem Bhandari and Sanjay. A case has been registered at the Moodabidre police station.
