Threat letter targets three ministers of Siddaramaiah cabinet, seer

BELAGAVI: Three ministers of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s cabinet and a seer have received an anonymous  threat letter recently, but the issue has come to light after nine days.

An anonymous person has written a threat letter mentioning the names of three ministers — Satish Jarakiholi, Dinesh Gundu Rao and Priyank Kharge, and Nijagunananda Sri of Nishkalamantapa. Not only them, the letter also threatens many progressive thinkers.

The threa letter was received on September 20 at Bailur Nishkalamantapa Ashram in Bailahongal taluk. Just a month ago, the swamiji had received another threat letter.

The letter contained dire threats, saying, “The letter I have written, think whether it is a love letter or a death letter. I’m not joking with you. Your death will come before your eyes at an event organised by you. You are a demon in human form. You are a demon who insults the gods of Hindus. You are at the edge of your life! There is no other option for me…No one can prevent your murder”.

Several progressive thinkers and writers have also been mentioned in the letter — S G Siddaramaiah, K Marulasiddappa, Baraguru Ramachandrappa, Bhaskar Prasad, Prof Bhagawan, Prof Maheshchandra, B T Lalitha Nayak, actors Chetan and Prakash Raj, Priyank Kharge, Satish Jarkiholi, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Dwarkanath, Devanur Mahadevappa, B L Venu.

The letter also poses some questions to those mentioned in it. “Do you have the guts to say what fanatic Muslims, Pakistanis, terrorists are doing wrong? Do you have the guts to say that what Pakistanis are doing is wrong? Tell me if you have the gut”. The letter also threatened seer saying, “Let’s tell them or count your last days”.
