Thieves posing as customers make away with 60 gm of gold ring from Girinagar jewellery store

BENGALURU: Thieves posing as customers made away with 60 grams of gold from Krishna Bankers and Jewellers at Hosakerehalli by diverting the attention of the shop owner. They were later arrested by the Girinagar police.

The incident took place on March 4 at 4.40 pm. The thieves, Mubarak and Asghar, came to the store posing as customers and asked to be shown different designs of rings.

They asked the owner for some new design to divert his attention elsewhere and stole 60 grams of gold rings. The accused had fled to Tamil Nadu after the act. The Girinagar police arrested the accused from Tamil Nadu.

During the arrest, they attacked the police car and made an attempt to escape, but did not succeed. The accused were taken into custody, and the police are investigating them.
