CHIKKABALLAPUR: A blanket of thick fog engulfed Chikkaballapur early on Tuesday, making it difficult for motorists to commute as visibility dropped to less than hundred metres.
Vehicles moved cautiously with headlights and hazard lights on along the Bengaluru-Hyderabad National Highway-44 and Bengaluru-Venkatagiri Kota National Highway-234, passing through Gauribidanur, Chikkaballapur and Chintamani.
On Monday night, the minimum temperature had dropped to 11 degrees Celsius.
