YADGIR: A temporary road built to connect Kolluru and Marakal village has been washed away completely due to incessant rainfall over the last two days. Due to this, schoolchildren who had gone to school had to suffer hardship while returning home.
A bridge construction project between Kolluru(M) and Marakal village, is going on along a minor river and a temporary road was constructed for the villagers to travel between the villages.
With the schoolchildren stuck on one side and the temporary road washed away, the parents brought ladders and rescued the children from near the under-construction bridge. The bridge construction work has been going on for several months and is not yet complete.
Parents have expressed outrage that local MLAs and officials concerned will be held responsible if any untoward incident occurs.
