BENGALURU: The wedding date of BJP leader and Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya has been fixed. The wedding ceremony will take place on March 5 and 6 at a private resort on Kanakapura Road.
Tejasvi Surya will tie the knot with Sivasri Skandaprasad, a renowned singer and Bharatanatyam artist from Chennai. The couple will enter their married life in the first week of March.
The wedding ceremony will include various rituals, including Varapuja on March 5, followed by Kashi Yatra, Jeerige Bella Muhurtha, and Laja Homa on March 6. Later that same day, Tejasvi Surya will tie the knot with Sivasri between 9:30 and 10:15 am on the auspecious Tula (Libra) Lagna muhurtam. After the wedding, a ceremony to welcome the bride at groom’s house will be held at Tejasvi Surya’s residence in Girinagar.
A grand reception will be organised at Gayatri Vihar in Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, on March 9, where dignitaries will grace the wedding ceremony.
Sivasri Skandaprasad is a well-known singer, Bharatanatyam artist, and BTech graduate from Chennai. She had earlier impressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi with her rendition of a song at the inauguration of the Rammandira in Ayodhya.
Tejasvi Surya and Sivasri Skandaprasad share common interests in Harikatha, cycling and Vaktathanam. He had previously participated in a music programme held in Chennai in 2021. Shivasri was felicitated at the end of the programme. Shivasri had shared these photos on her social media. The couple has known each other for few years.
Initially, Tejasvi Surya’s family had planned to hold the wedding in their hometown in Chikkamagaluru district, but later decided to hold it at a private resort in Bengaluru following suggestions from relatives. Both families have given their consent for the wedding.
