HASSAN: A teacher at a government primary school at Mallappanahalli in Holenarsipur taluk has been suspended for allegedly sexually harassing and misbehaving with girl students.
The teacher, Premkumar, has been working at the same school for the last 12 years and has been accused of getting students to give him massages and sexually harassing them. Fed up of his behaviour, some of the students refused to attend classes.
After the students opened up to their parents about the sexual harassment, they took the teacher to task. Based on the complaints of the students, Block Education Officer (BEO) G N Somalinge Gowda placed Premkumar under suspension.
