CHITRADURGA: A teacher at Dasarlahalli village in Chitradurga district has completed the caste, education and economic survey in just five days, earning appreciation from the villagers. The survey is part of the state government’s social and educational survey initiative.

The teacher, M Radha, completed the survey in five days by visiting houses before people head out. The villagers have praised Radha’s efforts, noting that she stayed in the village and worked diligently to complete the survey.

“I was allotted 116 houses after the distribution of kits, we got down to the survey. Initially, I faced some problems with the server and on the first day, I could visit only visit one house. Since most residents are working people, I stayed back in the village as bus facilities are lacking. The villagers made arrangements to stay here and they cooperated very well”, she said.

Chitradurga DC Venkatesh has ordered notices to survey staff skipping work.

Meanwhile, 68 survey staff members in Chitradurga district have been issued notices for having remained absent or failing to report for the survey work. District Deputy Commissioner T Venkatesh has warned that strict action will be taken against those who are absent or neglect their duties.
