CHITRADURGA: A Mahindra Scorpio SUV caught fire after its batter exploded on National Highway-4 near Aimangala in Hiriyur taluk on Saturday.
The incident occurred when the vehicle was heading from Bengaluru to Bagalkot. Luckily, all the three occupants got out before the fire engulfed the vehicle.
A fire tender arrived at the spot and put out the fire. A case has been registered at Aimangala police station.
