BENGALURU: The investigation into Dr Krutika Reddy’s murder case has taken a dark turn. According to the police investigation, Dr Mahendra Reddy, Krutika’s husband, was plotting for 11 months to kill her.
He allegedly administered drugs to Krutika multiple times during their marriage, and the post-mortem report revealed that she died due to an overdose of Propofol.
The police have revealed that Mahendra Reddy would often administer injections to Krutika, claiming they were for treatment. However, it is now believed that these injections were actually attempts to kill her.
He would often give her drugs to alleviate menstrual cramps, but his intentions were sinister. The police have informed Krutika’s parents about the drug administration, and they believe that Mahendra’s attempts to kill Krutika began shortly after their marriage. The final dose proved fatal, and the FSL report confirmed that Krutika’s death was caused by an overdose of drugs.
Interestingly, just before her death, Krithka had messaged Mahendra on WhatsApp, complaining of pain due to the IV drips, and asked him to remove them. The messages, obtained by Public TV, show that Krutika sent a WhatsApp message to Mahendra on April 23, saying, “Can’t bear the pain; remove the drip.” Mahendra replied, “I’ll remove it today; this will be the last one.” However, instead of removing the drip, he allegedly continued to administer injections, leading to her death.
The messages reveal that Krutika was subjected to IV drips for three consecutive days, from April 21 to April 23, without proper medical justification. The police have taken Mahendra into custody and are investigating the case from multiple dimensions. They are trying to determine where Mahendra obtained the drugs and what motivated him to commit the crime.
Krutika’s family has alleged that Mahendra had a criminal past, which he concealed before their marriage, and that he was having an extramarital affair.
