At least 10 flights to Bengaluru were diverted to Chennai due sudden change in weather. IndiGo and Air India said their scheduled have been impacted due to the weather conditions. The Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rain in many districts of the state, including Bengaluru, on Saturday.

Tree falls, blocking roads, were also reported. A fallen tree near Yelahanka’s Vidyaranyapura police limits caused a roadblock. Heavy rain caused waterlogging in Bettahalli Layout. Residents were seen wading through the flooded roads. The unexpected rain, however, brought a smile on people’s faces, as it brought relief from the hot weather

The IMD had said that dry weather will prevail in the remaining districts and the temperature will be higher than usual.
