BENGALURU: Family members and fans of late actor Ambareesh celebrated his 71st birth anniversary at his memorial at the Kanteerava Studios here by offering prayers.

Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh and son Abhishek Ambareesh paid their tributes at Ambareesh’s memorial. Speaking on the occasion, Sumalatha said, “Abhishek and Aviva Bidappa will be getting married on June 5 and a reception will be hosted on June 7. We miss Ambareesh at this time, but his blessings are always with us. Preparations for the wedding are going on and we have extended a special invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but we are not sure if he can attend the event”.

She later headed to Mandya where she will felicitate meritorious students of SSLC and PUC. Sumalatha will also distribute three-wheelers to the specially abled from the MP funds on the occasion.

Fans turned up in Ambareesh’s looks from the movies ‘Kanwarlal’ and ‘Anta’.

A huge number of fans turned up at Kanteerava Studios and cut cakes. Some of them were dressed as how the ‘Rebel Star’ featured in ‘Kanwarlal’ and ‘Anta’ movies.

Soon to be wedded Abhishek Ambareesh and Aviva Bidappa released a video tribute.

Abhishek and Aviva also paid a video tribute by recreating some popular song sequences of ‘Rebel Star’ Ambareesh’s popular movies. Meanwhile, the trailer of the movie ‘Bad Manners’, starring Abhishek Ambareesh, was also released on the occasion.
