BENGALURU: Kannada actress Sumalatha Ambareesh’s grandson’s naming ceremony was held in a grand manner on Sunday. The baby has been named Rana Amar Ambareesh.
The naming ceremony of Abhishek Ambareesh and Aviva Bidapa’s son was a private event, with only close family members and friends in attendance.
Ambareesh’s original name is Amarnath. He changed it to Ambareesh after entering the film industry. The grandson’s original name is Rana, but Amar and Ambareesh have been added to it. Actor Kiccha Sudeep and Priya gifted a box of dolls to the grandson of the Ambi family.
There was curiosity over actor Darshan participating in Sumalatha’s grandson’s naming ceremony today, but Darshan stayed away from the celebration. Darshan, who would be present at any event at Sumalatha’s house, has sparked a lot of discussion this time. Darshan staying away has given rise to speculation about his relationship with the Ambareesh family.
Darshan had recently unfollowed Sumalatha Ambareesh and her son Abhishek Ambareesh on social media, sparking rumours of a rift between them. However, Sumalatha had clarified that there was no issue between them. Darshan is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Devil’ in Mysuru.
