BENGALURU: Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murty, popular singer Shankar Mahadevan, Economist Sanjeev Sanyal are part of a 19-member committee constituted by the NCERT board to revise the syllabus as per the new curriculum for Classes 3 to 12.
The committee will work to incorporate the National Education Policy 2020 and add syllabus to the National Curriculum framework. It will work on the basis of the school education framework developed by the steering committee headed by former Isro chairman K Kasturirangan.
The committee will frame the school curriculum and the board will be responsible for developing teaching and learning materials for Classes 3 to 12 accordingly.
Indian Language Committee chairman Krishna Shastri will be the chairman of the committee andPrinceton University mathematics professor Manjul Bhagav will be the vice-chairman. Other members include mathematician Sujatha Ram Dorai, badminton player U Vimal Kumar and M D Srinivas of the Centre for Policy Studies.
