Students staging a protest at the Mandya bus stand to demand better bus services.

MANDYA: Hundred of students staged a protest against the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Friday, demanding additional bus services on Malavalli-Dugganahalli and Kadukottanahalli routes.

The students said that they are facing a lot of problems in reaching the district headquarters due to fewer buses from different villages. They have sat on the protest at the Mandya bus stand against the KSRTC. “Earlier too, we have requested additional buses, but the KSRTC did not provide the service”, the students said.

KSRTC Divisional Controller N Nagaraju hearing out the protesting students.

KSRTC Division Controller (DC) N Nagaraju said that he has accepted the students’ appeal. “I immediately visited the protest site and talked to the students. I have accepted their appeal and I have promised them to provide adequate bus services”, he said. (ANI)
