CHIKKODI: A pre-university student suffered grievous injuries in the head after she tried to alight from a moving bus, near Ambedkar Circle in Chikkodi. The injured was identified as Sanjana Dattawade (17) of Nandikurali village in Raibagh taluk.
Undated footage from a CCTV camera shows Sanjana stepping out of the moving bus, losing her footing due to the momentum and falling on the road. Luckily, no vehicles were coming the bus. She was given preliminary treatment at the taluk hospital in Chikkodi and shifted to the Belagavi district hospital for further treatment.
The incident occurred on the Chikkodi-Miraj State Highway and the bus was plying from Raibagh to Chikkodi.
