BENGALURU: A 19-year-old student of a private institution was found with his throat slit in the washroom of his hostel room on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Nithin (19), a resident of Kerala.
On December 1, he joined a private institution and was studying first-year engineering. On Wednesday afternoon, he went inside his hostel room and locked himself. When his friend went and knocked on the door, Nithin did not open it. His friend then informed the warden, and they broke down the door and entered the room. They found Nithin with his throat slit in the washroom and he had died.
A case has been registered at the Bannerghatta police station. The police inspected the spot and taken up further investigation.
