KOPPAL: Six teachers of a government school, including the headmaster, have been suspended in connection with the death of a student who fell into a well during an educational tour.
The deceased student, Nirupadi Harijan, was a student of the Government Higher Primary School in Ganadala village, Yelburga taluk, Koppal district.
The school authorities had taken the students on an educational tour. During the trip, the student fell into a well in Uttara Kannada district and died.
The Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) of Koppal, Shreeshail Biradar, has ordered the suspension of six teachers, including the headmaster, citing negligence on their part.
