HAVERI: With the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorists Squad (ATS) arresting five activists of the banned PFI in that state and preliminary investigation revealing that the outfit had plans to bomb the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Muthalik has said that Muslims should stop dreaming about creating an Islamic state in India.

“Muslims of this country should stop dreaming about bringing down the Ram Mandir. Hindu society is more awakened now. There is a Constitution and rule of law in this country. They should not harbour dreams of creating an Islamic state here”, Muthalik said.

As per preliminary information, the Maharashtra ATS probe has  revealed that the banned PFI had plans to blow up Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir and rebuild the Babri Masjid on the same site. They also intended to make India an Islamic country by 2047, when India will be celebrating 100 years of its independence.

The banned PFI had planned to blow up the Ram Mandir, Muthalik said

Addressing a press conference in Haveri, Muthalik  said, “Thinking of building a Babri Masjid shows their mentality. Babur was wicked and a fanatic. Goons among Muslims are now showing the same mentality. The country has given enough freedom to all. The mullahs, moulvis and Muslim leaders should instill in the community the importance of patriotism, loyalty to the country and the rule of law”, he added, while thanking the ATS for the swift operation.

To a question on celebrating halal-free Deepavali, Muthalik said, “We have started a campaign for the upcoming festiveal. All Hindu outfits have started the campaign across the state. Halal refers to meat, as mentioned in the Quran. But today, every commodity has a halal certificate. Crores of rupees have been deposited with the Jamiat Ulama-E-Hind and this money is used to promote terror activities and fight legal battles of those arrested. To prevent all this, a halal-free Deepavali should be celebrated. A Hindu festival is complete only when things are purchased by Hindu traders”, he remarked.

Commenting on actor Chetan’s statement about the film ‘Kantara’, Mutalik said, “The movie is getting recognition in Karnataka, and also across the nation. It has spread the importance of Kannada culture to every corner of the country. It is a matter of pride. But actor Chethan, being an atheist, tried to spoil the image of film, which is condemnable”.

He further alleged, “Chethan is trying to divide Hindu society, which is not right. ‘Kantara’ is something which makes us feel very proud, I would like to congratulate the entire team of ‘Kantara'”.

Muthalik also warned Chetan and demanded that the latter retract his statements. “He should grow as a good actor, not as an anti-Hindu activist or traitor. He should not try to divide Hindu society into adivasis (original inhabitants) and tribals, etc. Hindu and Hindutva are uniting all together. There is no caste, no race, no discrimination here. Why is he upset by the word Hindu? He were born and brought up in America where people grew up in pubs and clubs. He do not know about our culture”, he remarked.
