KALABURAGI: Six Bajrang Dal activists were detained for pasting stickers of the Pakistan flag on the road at Jagat Circle and near Saath Gumbaz along with the letters ‘PKMKB’.
On spotting the Pakistan flags, some Muslim women removed them from the road. Following this, the police were informed. Later in the day, Bajrang Dal activists arrived at Jagat Circle and admitted that they had pasted the stickers.
Speaking about the incident, Police Commissioner Dr Sharanappa said no permission was sought for pasting the stickers on the roads. “The police were not informed and hence, there was some confusion. Bajrang Dal activists claimed that they staged a protest and pasted the stickers, but no permission was taken for the protest”, he said.
The SP further said six people have been detained for questioning. “Those staging protest should seek prior permission to prevent any sort of confusion”, he added.
