BENGALURU: The state government has transferred the cheating case, involving Aishwarya Gowda, to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Multiple cases were registered against Aishwarya at various police stations, including Rajajinagar, Chandra Layout and also in Mandya.

The CID’s Economic Offences Wing will now investigate the cases, except for the CDR (Cellular Detail Record) case. The Byatarayanapura sub-division police had previously investigated the case and handed it over to the CID for further probe.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating a money laundering case against Aishwarya, arrested her, and she was in judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara jail. However, Aishwarya was released on bail by a Sessions Court. The ED has also issued a notice to former Congress MP DK Suresh for questioning in connection with his alleged involvement in a fraud case on Tuesday.
