BENGALURU: After a gap of two years due to the Covid-induced pandemic, the Karnataka Secondary Education Board has announced that the SSLC board exams will be conducted as per the old pattern. It has also said that 75 per cent attendance will be compulsory.

The board had changed the examination pattern and question papers due to Covid-19 for two years. The board exams for SSLC students this year will be held in March-April 2023. The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board is bringing back the old question paper pattern.

During the Corona period, the board had given simple questions in the question papers and the syllabus was also reduced. The board had given around 40 per cent of simple questions, 50 per cent of moderate questions, and 10% of difficult questions during the academic years of 2020–2021 and 2021–2022. This year, moderate and difficult questions will be given importance.

As per the old question paper pattern, it will have 30 per cent of simple questions, 50 per cent of moderate questions, and 20 per cent of difficult questions. If students do not have 75 per cent attendance, they will not be allowed to write the exam.
