BENGALURU: The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations are set to begin on Friday and the Primary Education Department and the Karnataka Examinations Authority have made all preparations.
The exams will go on till April 4 and webcasting will be done to prevent any malpractice and prohibitory orders will be in place in a radius of 200 metres around examination centres with police presence.
The exam centres will be equipped with CCTV cameras and webcasting and all photocopy centres, cyber cafes and computer centres near exam centres will be close. There will also be tight security while transporting the question papers to the exam centres and the entire journey will be videographed.
On March 21, the first language exam will be conducted, on March 24, Mathematics; March 26, second language; March 29, social science; April 2, science, and April 4, third language.
This year, a total of 8,96,447 students will be writing the exams, which includes 4,61,563 boys and 4,34,884 girls. There will be a total of 2,818 examination centres with an equal number of checking squads. There will be 240 evaluation centres with 65,000 evaluators.
