BENGALURU: A speeding car rammed into a stationary BMTC bus from behind near the Nayandahalli ring road on Monday. Luckily, there were no casualties.
Due to the impact, the engine compartment of the car had gone under the bus. A little while after the accident, a fire broke out in the car, gutting it completely while the rear of the bus suffered considerable damage.
After the fire broke out, the bus driver moved it in order to separate the two vehicles, but was unsuccessful. Though the fire initially subsided, it broke out again, gutting the car and damaging the bus. The fire tenders were called in and the blaze was put out.
