DAVANAGERE: A car crashed into a house after the driver lost control, at Kukkawada village in the taluk on Monday night. One woman who was sleeping inside the house sustained minor injuries.
The house, near Ambedkar Circle on the Davanagere-Channagiri Main Road, belongs to Surendrappa Master. The compound wall and a bedroom wall were damaged in the incident.
The car was coming from Tyavanagi and headed towards Davanagere. It is said that the occupants of the car were drunk and it was being driven at high speed.
The Hadadi police visited the spot and registered a case. Locals pointed out that repeated accidents occur on the road which cut through the village and have demanded that the authorities install speed breakers.
