BENGALURU: A specially abled, speech impaired woman, who has lost strength in her legs, was allegedly sexually abused by a man when she was alone at her house at M R Nagar in Adugodi. The police have arrested the accused Vignesh alias Dadu.
Angered by the incident, locals thrashed the pervert and handed him over to the police. The family members had gone to a wedding on November 9. During this time, they had left the specially abled girl alone at home. The family locked the house from the outside before leaving.
Around 11 am on Tuesday, Vignesh, who was allegedly under the influence of ganja, came to the victim’s house, removed the lock and broke in. He then locked the door from within.
The mother, who returned to look after her daughter, was shocked when she saw her condition. There was no clothes on the daughter’s body and the accused Vignesh, was hiding behind a door. He escaped by wearing undergarments after the victim’s mother spotted him. The police arrested the accused after a chase.
