Officials are reportedly anxious after the complaint was registered with the Lokayukta.

Meanwhile, an inquiry team was scheduled to meet on Tuesday at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The team has already started the investigation and had inspected the spot three days ago. The meeting was called to decide on issuing notices and scheduling questioning, including who will be served notices and when they will be called for inquiry.

The dean of Bowring Hospital was expected attend the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner has sought some information and will collect details and documents from the Bowring Hospital administration.

On the other hand, a technical team of engineers visited the site on Monday and collected samples of cement, soil, stone, and other material from the spot. The investigation will be based on these samples. The team will later summon and question hospital administration officials.

Currently, there are multiple probes — one led by the DC, another by the engineering team, and a third by the Lokayukta. The Lokayukta’s investigation team also visited the spot yesterday and conducted an inquiry.
