BENGALURU: A special court has dismissed the bail plea of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna in a rape case for the second time. He is currently in jail facing rape charges in a case registered at the Holenarasipur Town police station.
Prajwal had filed a bail plea in the Special Court for Elected Representatives, which was dismissed after hearing. This is the second time his bail plea was dismised.
He had filed the application in the sessions court as per the High Court’s directions. The High Court had direced the trial court to decide on the bail application within 10 days.
The High Court of Karnataka has rejected former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna’s bail pleas in all three cases registered against him. Prajwal had sought regular bail in one case and anticipatory bail in two others.
