Songwriter Hamsaleka turns movie director

BENGALURU: Music maestro Hamsalekha celebrated his 74th birthday by announcing his directorial debut film recently. The event was attended by his close friends, directors and actor Ravichandran, who wished him well.

Ravichandran spoke about his friendship with Hamsalekha and clarified that their estrangement was not due to any quarrel or misunderstanding. He stated, “We didn’t have any reason to drift apart, and we parted ways just like we came together. We had maintained distance, now Raju has come to my place”.

Ravichandran also expressed his admiration for Hamsalekha, saying, “You are the heartbeat, and I am the heart.”

Hamsalekha, in turn, praised Ravichandran for his support and their friendship. He described Ravichandran as the first positive personality in his life and credited him with bringing the audience from MG Road to Gandhinagar.

Hamsalekha also appreciated Ravichandran’s dedication to fitness and his massive fan following. “Even now, the Crazy Star has lost 10 kg and is a handsome actor”, Hamsalekha said and added that he is the only actor with the most fan following among women.

The event marked a special reunion of two Sandalwood legends, inspiring the younger generation and fans with their bond, love and mutual admiration. Fans eagerly await future collaborations between these two industry stalwarts.
