BAGALKOT: A soldier allegedly killed his drunk brother by pouring diesel on him and setting him ablaze at Bidari village in Jamakhandi taluk of Bagalkot district.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Parappa Kanatti (32). The incident occurred at 5 am, but came to light only later. The police have registered a case and arrested the three accused—Basavaraj, Parappa, and Shanta.
According to reports, Anil would often quarrel with his family members under the influence of alcohol. Unable to tolerate his behaviour, his brother Basavaraj Kanatti, a soldier on vacation, along with their parents, Parappa Kanatti and Shanta Kanatti, allegedly planned and executed the murder.
