BIDAR: A Doberman sniffer dog, named Deepa, made a significant discovery, uncovering over Rs 7 lakh worth of ganja hidden in a bag containing toordal husk. The breakthrough came after the police received a tipoff about the illegal sale of ganja in the Vijayanagar Tanda area of Aurad taluk.
Despite conducting raids, the police were initially unable to find any evidence. However, they didn’t give up. Instead, they brought in a sniffer dog from Telangana, which successfully detected the hidden ganja.
The police have arrested one accused in connection with the case and registered a case at the Santapur police station. Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti praised the dog’s efforts, acknowledging the crucial role it played in cracking the case.
