RAICHUR: Smoke engulfed a Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus that was going from Raichur to Mantralaya, leaving the passengers anxious for a while with this incident.
Most of the passengers were going to Mantralaya to take part in the Aradhana Mahotsava of Lord Raghavendra. The KKRTC stopped in the middle of the road near Madhavaram in Andhra Pradesh after thick smoke started coming out from the engine chamber.
The passengers complained that incident occurred due to poor maintenance of old buses. Then, the bus driver brought water from a nearby house and poured it into the radiator to bring the smoke under control.
After the initial scare, the passengers expressed their outrage at the transport corporation and demanded that old buses should be replaced and maintained well.
