Sluice gate operator slips and falls into water, dies

RAMANAGARA: A sluice gate operator at the Igloor dam in Channapatna taluk died after he slipped and fell into the water, on Monday evening. The deceased is Mallesh H M (52) and his body was fished out on Tuesday morning.

Mallesh was checking the water level when he slipped. On receiving information, Irrigation department and police officials rushed to the spot. A case has been registered at the Akkur police station.
