Sixth accused arrested in connection with kidnapping case linked to ‘obscene video’

HASSAN: After the arrest of several accused, police have arrested one more accused in connection with the kidnapping of a woman .

The police arrested the sixth accused, Hosur Keerthi, and produced him before the 42nd ACCM court which ordered him in police custody for four days.  The accused, Keerthi, is allegedly involved in the kidnapping of the victim and took her to Hunsur.

According to the FIR, registered by KR Nagar police, HD Revanna is accused number one, and another, Satish Babanna alias Satish Babu, is accused number two. After their arrest, the police arrested three more accused, including Manu, Sujay and Madhu.

HD Revanna was granted conditional bail on Monday evening and reached his father H D Deve Gowda’s residence after he was released from jail on conditional bail on Tuesday. He received the blessings from his father H D Deve Gowda and mother Chennamma. He received a warm welcome from his associates and family members.

The judge of the special court of people’s representatives, granted conditional bail to Revanna, on a Rs 5 lakh bond. A case was booked against Revanna under Sections 364A (kidnapping for ransom), 365 (kidnapping with intent to cause harm), and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.

JD(S) MLA from Holenarasipura H D Revanna, and his son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna are facing a probe by a Special Investigative Team (SIT) over allegations of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation following a complaint by a woman who worked in their household.

Prajwal Revanna has been missing for almost two weeks. He flew out of the country immediately after a former house help filed a complaint against him and H D Revanna at the Holenarsipur police station. The SIT has issued many notices, including a blue corner notice, and is monitoring incoming passengers at all airports across the country. But the SIT has no clues regarding the whereabouts of Prajwal Revanna.
