Six injured, two seriously, after LPG cylinder explodes in Davanagere village

The impact of the explosion was such that the door had come off its hinges.

DAVANAGERE: Six people were injured, two of them seriously, after an LPG cylinder exploded in their house at Turchaghatta village in Davanagere taluk on Friday morning. They were shifted to a hospital in an ambulance wtih burn injuries.

It is believed that the regulator was not turned off at night and the blast occurred when one of the family members tried to turn on the stove in the morning. The impact was such that the tin roof of the house was blown off and household articles were scattered.

The tin roof was also blown away and household items scattered.

Among the six injured include two aged people and a girl child.  The incident caused anxiety among the villagers. The incident occurred in Davanagere Rural police limits.
