Six houses burgled in a single night in Aland village, gold worth over Rs 5 lakh stolen

The burglars broke open an almirah in one house and scattered household articles from other houses.

KALABURAGI: Burglars broke into six houses the night and made away with gold ornaments worth over Rs 5 lakh, at Bodhana village in Aland taluk on Wednesday night.

The burglars broke into the house of Basavaraj Biradar and stole gold ornaments worth Rs 4.87 lakh which was kept in an almirah. Basavaraj Biradar had been to Maharashtra to visit a relative at that time.

The burglars also broke into five other houses and scattered all the household articles outside. The occupants of the houses have migrated to Bengaluru for work. The Narona police visited the village and have registered a case and are on the lookout for the culprits.
