SIT conducts inspection at HD Revanna’s residence in victim’s presence

HASSAN: The special investigation team (SIT) officials, who are probing the sexual assault case registered against the former minister H D Revanna and his son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, have conducted an inspection in the presence of the victim at Revanna’s residence in Holenarasipur.

Cases of sexual harassment and kidnapping case have been registered against Revanna. The SIT officials conducted inspection in the kitchen, bedroom and storeroom of his house in the presence of the woman who first levelled the charbge against Revanna.

The woman victim had alleged that Revanna sexually harassed her at those three places when Bhavani Revanna was not present at home.

The SIT team visited the house in three vehicles, and the investigation is being conducted under the leadership of Additional SP Suman D Pennekar and ACP Satya Narayan Singh. H D Revanna and his wife Bhavani Revanna were in the house during the inspection, and tight security has been provided around the house.

The Holenarseepur Town police, led by Inspector Suresh Kumar and Sub-Inspector Ajay Kumar assisted the SIT team. The police have seized a CPU, monitor and printer from the house.

Amid the investigation into the alleged obscene video case, a second lookout notice has been issued against both JD(S) MLC H D Revanna and his son Prajwal Revanna.

The first lookout notice was issued against Revanna and his son Prajwal after they sought time to appear before the investigation team.

The FIR in the case was registered hours before the anticipatory bail plea of H D Revanna came up for hearing in the Special Court for People’s Representatives in Bengaluru on Friday. He skipped the notice to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on May 2 for questioning.

Prajwal Revanna has gone abroad, and a lookout notice has been issued against him. A lookout notice has also been issued to Revanna on suspicion that he too may fly abroad.
