BENGALURU: Sandalwood Hatrick Hero Shivarajkumar  has returned to Bengaluru, after undergoing a successful cancer surgery in the US. Hundreds of fans and friends from film industry received him wholeheartedly at his residence on Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference near his residence, he expressed gratitude to his fans, the film industry and the media for their support.

Shivarajkumar mentioned that he had to muster courage to undergo the surgery, but the energy and support from his fans and well-wishers helped him through the process. He also praised his wife Geetha and his daughter Niveditha for taking care of him during his recovery. “Nivedita’s friend Anu too stayed with us for a month”, he said. “My daughter Niveditha took care of me like a mother,” he said.

The actor stated that he would take a month’s rest before resuming work. He has several projects lined up, including a film with Ram Charan. He expressed optimism about returning to normal life and resuming his acting career soon.

“I was a bit scared, but the support from my fans and well-wishers gave me the strength to go through with it”, he said. “I’m looking forward to getting back to acting and entertaining my fans,” he added.

“The journey back home was a 20-hour flight. The surgery lasted for six hours. I started walking from the second day itself. I don’t know where that energy came from. Not only the fans, but the industry gave me courage. I’m not talking about Geeta. She is also a wife and a mother”, Shivarajkumar said.

“I was on liquid food for two or three days after surgery. After that, I started walking slowly. Life is a lesson; everything in life comes naturally. I did everything with courage. I have a plan for ‘Shivanna 131’. I will do it in Ram Charan’s movie”, Shivarajkumar said.
