MANGALURU, UDUPI: Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty on Friday visited the Durgaparameshwari temple at Kateel near here and offered prayers. She also visited the new Mariyamma Temple at Kaup in Udupi district. The actress was accompanied by her son and daughter, mother and younger sister Shamita Shetty.
Shilpa Shetty’s ancestral house is at Modaladi Guttu near Kateel in Mulky taluk. She and her family members visit the Durgaparameshwari temple regularly.
Shilpa Shetty is currently on a coastal tour. She visited the new Mariyamma Temple at Kaup in Udupi district, and was thrilled to see the temple’s architecture, wooden carvings and golden throne. She was felicitated by the temple’s administration and management committee.
While speaking to the media, Shilpa Shetty expressed her joy after seeing the temple’s architecture and wooden carvings. She promised that she would visit again after the temple’s renovation and development are complete.
