Several universities in Karnataka put off exams, fresh dates to be announced later

BENGALURU: In the wake of the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, several universities in the state which had scheduled exams on Friday have postponed them to a later date. The fresh dates will be announced later.

With a government holiday being announced on Friday, the Bangalore University has put off the MBA second semester exam scheduled to be held on Friday. A notice from the registrar (evaluation) said the fresh date for the exam will be announced later.

The University of Mysore (UoM) also postponed all degree and postgraduate exams scheduled for Friday and said fresh dates will be announced later. The Mandya University too put off all first-year graduate exams scheduled in all colleges coming under it and also all other exams.

The Kuvempu University in Shivamogga also put off the graduate non-NEP exams. University registrar (examination) Dr P Dharanikumar said the fresh dates will be announced later.
