BENGALURU: A compound wall of a garment unit fell on several two-wheelers, leaving them badly damaged, after heavy rain recently at Gollarahatti.
It is said that several tree and plants had grown near the compound wall, rendering its foundation weak. During the heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, a portion of the wall fell on several parked two-wheelers.
Many of the two-wheeler owners had bought the vehicles by raising loans. The garment company management is now refusing to pay for the damage and instead told the vehicle owners to claim insurance.
