TUMAKURU: Several people were injured after a clash erupted between supporters of BJP and Janata Dal Secular, police officials informed on Friday. “Two BJP workers, identified as Mubarak Pasha and Nazir, were injured. They were attacked by JD(S) workers”, a BJP functionary said.
In the aftermath of the incident, local shopkeepers alleged that JD(S) workers stabbed BJP workers with broken bottles and knives. A case has been registered at the Tumkur Rural police station. “Some people were injured after a clash between BJP and JD(S) workers on Friday,” an official said. (ANI)
