SHIVAMOGGA: Seven people were injured, with one in critical condition, after honeybees attacked twice on the same day in Chickpet, Hosanagar taluk.
Honey bees attacked some people for the first time around 5 pm near Bhasha’s house. Bhasha, his wife Asma, their children Areef and Anief, and his neighbour Yasin were injured. Hussein Sab (68) and Baba Sab, who had gone to repair a bed, were also attacked by honey bees.
The injured were admitted to the local hospital, with Hussein Sab’s condition being critical, and shifted to the Intensive Care Unit in Hosanagara government hospital.
Later that day, the bees attacked Areef and Bhasha’s son.The repeated attacks have created panic among locals.
