CHIKKAMAGALUR: In an unusual incident, a set of rear wheels of a private bus came off even as it was moving, at Rotary Circle in Balehonnur of NR Pura taluk on early on Wednesday morning. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
It was raining when the incident occurred and the bus from Bengaluru was headed to Sringeri. As soon as the set of wheels came off, the bus collapsed on the road. The incident was caught on a CCTV camera.
Had the wheels come off when the bus was traversing the ghat section, it could have resulted in a major tragedy, locals and the Balehonnur police said.
